Review of Miss Bala (2019 Movie):
Miss Bala is the English-language remake of the 2011 popular Mexican thriller, almost shot-for-shot. The only difference is that it's not in Spanish and the artists are different. Otherwise, if you've seen the original film, there's little reason to watch it, as it actually goes through similar motions. The plot, mood, characters, and suspense are all the same, though the key moments are missing a sense of shock and wonder if you've watched the original. It's certainly not a bad film, oozing the same grittiness as the SICARIO movies, but it feels more than a little redundant given the existence of the first film.
"Miss Bala" is a movie that you will enjoy its drama and action while watching as it is a spin on the dangerous world of life on the border because when it is crossed it is a dangerous world of cat and mouse in which greed , money, drugs, sex, murder, and abuse. Gloria (the sexy and raw Gina Rodriguez I loved in those sexy black bra scenes) is a California girl who becomes involved in a drama and new sick world of smuggling and violence across the Mexican border when she meets her best friend. As it is clear there is no one who seems to be from drug cartel members to drug agents as Gloria is lost and has to fend for herself as the plot turns and thickens with different sets of bad guys. Is. Yet the drama and action is fine for this film as Jeena's performance is good eye candy, it spices up the picture and makes it a knockout.
